Tony Pressley's professional credentials include the Certified Commercial
Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute and the Certified
Property Manager (CPM) designation conferred by the Institute of Real
Estate Management (IREM). In 2001, he was named Charlotte Regional Realtor
Association's (CRRA) Realtor of the Year. He was named 1995 Realtor of
the Year by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR).
Additional professional recognition has included the 2000 Charlotte Chamber
Entrepreneur Award (21-75 employees category) and the 2001 Public Relations
Society of America/Charlotte Chapter Pegasus Award. In 2001, Tony was
named one of the top 15 entrepreneurs of the past 15 years by The Business
Journal of Charlotte.
President, Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA
A native of Charlotte, Rob graduated from East Carolina University. He
is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina and holds
the distinguished CCIM designation. After a brief career in the environmental
industry, he joined his family's real estate business, MECA Properties,
and is the third generation of Pressley's to be affiliated with that firm.
Rob currently serves as President of Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA
and is an active Partner in Firmitas Development. In addition to his corporate
responsibilities at both firms, he is very active in the brokerage and
development of real estate. During his career as a practicing broker Rob
has completed hundreds transactions in the areas of land, investment,
retail, office and industrial real estate. His clients include small and
large corporate entities, investors, developers, non-profits and various
governmental entities. Rob is also currently involved in the development
of several large mixed use projects in the Charlotte area and has, over
the last 14 years, been very involved in his family's developments in
the Historic South End neighborhood.
As a volunteer, Rob serves President Elect of the Charlotte Region Commercial
Board of Realtors where he has been an active member since its inception.
Currently he also serves on the Chamber's Charlotte East Board and is
a past recipient of Charlotte Business Journal's 40 under 40 award. He
is a member of ULI, CNU, ICSC and CCIM Institute.
In addition to his service to the real estate industry, Rob has been
an active member of a number of non-profit community organizations including
Boy Scouts, Community School of the Arts, the Charlotte Chamber, The Metrolina
Business Council and Charlotte's City Committee.
Rob is married to wife Valerie and together they have three daughters,
Morgan, Camden and Sheldon.
President, MECA Properties
Andy Pressley, who joined MECA in 1997, is a member of the third generation
of the Pressley family to be affiliated with the company. He holds real
estate licenses in both North and South Carolina. Andy is a Charlotte
Regional Realtors Association member and a Charlotte Chamber Leadership
School graduate. Andy has successfully completed two Certified Commercial
Investment Member (CCIM) courses offered by the Realtors National Marketing
Institutes' Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. He is a member
of The Bridge Foundation and youth basketball and the Dowd YMCA.
Vice President & CFO
A 1983 graduate of Florida State University, Margaret Martin joined MECA
in 1984. She holds a N.C. Real Estate License. Since 1984, Margaret has
been a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and is a past
local chapter board member. Additionally, she is a graduate of Leadership
Charlotte Class XVI. She has been an active member of Commercial Real
Estate Women (CREW) since 1995 and served as President in 2003. Also in
2003, she received the Women In Business award presented by The Charlotte
Business Journal. Margaret has successfully completed five Certified Commercial
Investment Member (CCIM) courses offered by the Realtors National Marketing
Institute's Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
